Raised blood pressure, or hypertension, is the biggest contributor to the global burden of disease and global mortality, leading to 10.8 million deaths every year.

In this seminar, two experts talk about their research programmes to prevent and treat high blood pressure.

Professor Bruce Neal is Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Imperial College London and Executive Director of The George Institute Australia, talks about his research into the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Professor Otavio Berwanger, Professor of Public Health at Imperial College London and Executive Director of The George Institute for Global Health, talks about his research evaluating new treatments for hypertension.
