Preparing for the next pandemic

To address the constant threats from emerging and known infectious diseases, Imperial experts are working towards pandemic preparedness and prevention.

In this seminar, two experts talk about their research programmes on preparing for the next pandemic:

Dr Anne Cori is a mathematical and statistical modeller at the Medical Research Centre (MRC) Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis. Dr Cori talks about her research into statistical models and predictions for infectious diseases.

Professor Chris Chiu is a Professor of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Imperial and an Infectious Diseases physician and Immunologist. He is also an Honorary Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Professor Chiu talks about developing new vaccines and the human challenge model.
