Professor Tim Orchard named as one of the top 50 NHS Chief Executives

Professor Tim Orchard has been ranked second in the Health Service Journal’s (HSJ’s) top 50 NHS chief executives.

The ranking places him among the most influential figures in the health service nationally.

The ranking reflects the strength and performance of all four partners, and they could be an example to other big hospital groups in the UK.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is also ranked the number one teaching trust, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is ranked third for performance among teaching trusts and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust  is ranked the number one small trust in the latest NHS oversight framework scores.

Professor Orchard, who is also a Professor of Gastroenterology in the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction at Imperial College London, is recognised for the performance of the organisation he leads, his contribution to the wider NHS, and the personal example he sets.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are also members of Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre.  A strategic partnership between Imperial College London, The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
