How We Work
The AHSC uses its resources and role as a convenor to facilitate strategic alignment around research and education partnership activities by:
- Bringing new collaboration opportunities to its members including convergence science opportunities offered by Imperial’s Faculties – Medicine, Natural Sciences, Engineering and the Business School
- Connecting with other North West London NHS and health stakeholders to facilitate alignment of AHSC research capability with local needs and priorities
- Promoting collaboration and joint working through workshops and projects
- Co-ordinating cross-sector bids for research and education projects
- Promoting the impact of the AHSC’s work to NHS staff, patients and the public through webinars and other communications content
- Developing and managing AHSC infrastructure – the Clinical Academic Training Office [CATO] which supports all members of the AHSC partnership and the Joint Research Office, [JRO] a partnership between Imperial and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Based in North West London, the AHSC develops and evaluates its outputs and impacts locally, nationally and globally.
